Who is Miss Crutchfield?

Miss Crutchfield is a certified English teacher who has taught middle and high school English Language Arts for 12 years. She also teaches elective courses in Drama, Creative Writing, Photography, and Journalism. She was a 2002 Teach for America corps member in South Louisiana, and, after completing her two year corps commitment and making a brief return to the business world, continued her teaching career in Baltimore, Maryland in 2006.

In 2008, Miss Crutchfield moved to Cairo, Egypt, where she taught Grades 8 – 10 English, AP Language and Composition, and Drama; and was the English Department Head for the American Section at Modern English School Cairo. She also assisted with costuming and choreography on the school musical productions, and was the co-advisor for the National Honor Society.

In 2012, Miss Crutchfield moved again, this time to Monterrey, Mexico. At American School Foundation of Monterrey, Miss Crutchfield taught Grade 10 and Pre-AP English, Dance, Digital Photography, Creative Writing, and Journalism. She also choreographed the upper school productions of Beauty and the Beast and Pippin.

For the 2015-2016 school year, Miss Crutchfield taught English, Writing Lab, and Drama to grades 5 – 8 at Kwangju Foreign School in Gwangju, South Korea.

Miss Crutchfield’s hobbies are rollerskating, hiking, traveling, eating, and photographing her travels and food.
